Dr. Tran is board certified in nephrology and internal medicine. He has been in practice at East Tennessee Medical Associates since August, 2003.
Dr. Tran did his residency at Evanston Northwestern Hospital in Chicago, IL. He was chosen Resident of the Year by physicians and peers. He received his nephrology fellowship training at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island.
After graduating from the Brown fellowship program, he chose a nephrology position at ETMA in Johnson City, TN. The region’s natural beauty and temperate climate coupled with genuine friendliness of the people of the Tri-Cities were a perfect fit for him.
His current duties include serving as Vice President and Medical Director of Smokie Mountain Dialysis and rounds at the Johnson City and Greeneville hemodialysis centers.
Dr. Tran lives in Johnson City with his wife and two children.
